Biography

When your family’s future is in motion, you deserve an attorney who is prepared, steady, and genuinely invested in the outcome—not just the process. Autumn Osbourne has represented North Carolina families for more than a decade, combining strong courtroom advocacy with practical negotiation skills to help clients move forward with clarity and confidence.

Autumn is a North Carolina Board Certified Specialist in Family Law—a distinction held by fewer than 2% of family law practitioners statewide. Her work has also been recognized by independent attorney rating organizations, including Thomson Reuters and Avvo.

For Autumn, excellent representation is about more than knowing the law. It’s about showing up with integrity, empathy, and the resolve to protect what matters most—your children, your stability, and your peace of mind.

“I feel every family in our community benefits from the work we do outside our law firm’s doors. It’s been incredibly gratifying to work with organizations such as the Durham County Legal Aid Clinic and the Durham Women’s Clinic, as well as mentoring other attorneys in the family law arena.” — Autumn Osbourne

What you can expect when working with Autumn

  • Direct, thoughtful guidance so you understand your options and the tradeoffs
  • A strategy tailored to your priorities, whether that’s protecting parenting time, financial security, or both
  • Strong advocacy in and out of court, with a focus on outcomes that hold up long-term

Autumn’s commitment to service extends beyond the firm. She has contributed her time and experience with organizations such as the Durham County Legal Aid Clinic and the Durham Women’s Clinic, and she’s passionate about mentoring fellow attorneys in the family law community.

Autumn earned her Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law, and also holds a Master’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech.

Outside of work, Autumn enjoys time with her family—especially being on the boat, heading to the beach, and getting outdoors whenever she can.

If you’re navigating a family law issue and want an attorney who will advocate with both skill and heart, schedule a consultation with Autumn and the Ellis Family Law team.
