Biography

Gita brings a thoughtful, client-focused approach to family law, helping individuals and families navigate difficult transitions with clarity, compassion, and purpose. She understands that family legal matters often come with uncertainty, stress, and deeply personal concerns, and she is committed to helping clients feel informed, supported, and prepared as they move forward.

Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Gita earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a minor in Criminal Justice, from the University of Cincinnati. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law, where she demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership, service, and family-centered advocacy.

During law school, Gita served as President of the Family and Juvenile Law Society, 2L Class Representative, a member of the Social Chair Committee, and a Teaching Assistant for Legal Writing. Her dedication to her peers and the broader community was recognized with the Student Involvement Award, presented by the Student Bar Association, as well as the Public Service Commendation Award.

After law school, Gita practiced family law in Ohio for two years before relocating to North Carolina in 2026. Her background in psychology, criminal justice, and family law gives her a well-rounded perspective on the complex issues clients may face, especially when family, safety, children, and long-term stability are involved.
