Many people come to family law during the hardest season of their lives—and they deserve an attorney who can bring both steadiness and strength to the process. Emma Tillotson found her calling in family law through hands-on work with families in transition, and she brings that same compassion, preparation, and client-centered advocacy to every case.
Emma earned her undergraduate degree from Clemson University, graduating cum laude with a background in Psychology and Criminal Justice, and a minor in Sociology—a foundation that helps her understand both the legal issues and the human realities clients are facing. She went on to attend the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University, graduating cum laude.
During law school, Emma’s passion for family law grew through direct service and leadership:
Emma is especially committed to supporting clients impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault, helping them understand their options and build a path forward that prioritizes safety and stability.
“Sexual assault and domestic violence are prevalent in our community, and it is imperative that individuals understand they are not alone and that there exists a path to safety and recovery… I believe that the practice of family law transcends mere legal processes, and I am dedicated to supporting families during their most challenging times.”
Outside of work, Emma enjoys time with family and friends, reading, exploring the outdoors, and caring for her cat, Wilkie.
